Fits a Honda HRX mower fine. Assembly took me 35 minutes including filling with sand. Direction were adequate. Fill with sand last, not first as stated incase you have to reture.
Price and construction:
For the price it is a decent product. Construction is to be expected for the price point. I would expect a 5+ year life span.
Product results:
I have a very well maintained, healthy kentucky bluegrass lawn. My striping results were nowhere nearly as pronounced and contrasted as the product result photos had implied. The striping is subtle, but noticable. My regular mow time is 35 minutes. Given the detail one would expect to acheive, it adds about 5 minutes to mowing time.
Other thoughts:
I will try to see if I can get better results if I mow in early morning and/or cooler days. Perhaps the grass blades will bend better??

Ok not that great !, November 14, 2010 By V. Visuthikosol "bimmer, HSV" (bimmer, HSV) This review is from: Lawn Stryper LM408111B Lawn Striping Pattern System, Black (Lawn & Patio) this product will work perfect for a tall grass and Northern states. My grass is Zoysia and I live in Alabama. I couldn't see much effect. If your grass in warm weather grass, save the money and buy a better lawn mower. Was this review helpful to you? Lawn Stryper LM408111B, July 30, 2010 This review is from: Lawn Stryper LM408111B Lawn Striping Pattern System, Black (Lawn & Patio) The Lawn Stryper works wonderfully. The instructions were well written and very easy to follow. The assembly time was about 15 minutes. I too found it was easier to fill the roller with sand that has been dried ahead of time.
Once assembled, simply begin mowing and watch the stripes come to life. The product makes clearly defined stripes in your yard. This really makes your lawn standout. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
Doesn't work well at all in southern united states., July 26, 2010 By Lisa von Eberstein "lisa v" (Louisiana, USA) This review is from: Lawn Stryper Lawn Striping Pattern System (Lawn & Patio) I can tell that this product would work great in mid to northern climates, but in Southern Louisiana it is barely noticable. Its just not worth the extra effort or wgt. that you have to push here.
It actually states on the box that it might not be as effective in southern climates, but it didnt say that on the advertisement. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
If you mow it they will come., July 24, 2010 This review is from: Lawn Stryper Lawn Striping Pattern System (Lawn & Patio) "If you mow it they will come". I can't build a ballpark but my lawn looks like one thanks to Lawn Stryper. Friends and neighbors are attracted to my lawn and compliment how neat the bluegrass lawn looks. Instead of sand I have used water to fill the Stryper. Easier to fill but make sure you empty before frost. I haven't been able to charge admission to view my lawn yet but the Styper gets raves from me. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
Great product after a little tweaking, July 19, 2010 This review is from: Lawn Stryper LM408111B Lawn Striping Pattern System, Black (Lawn & Patio) I got a really good deal on my Lawn Stryper since I bought it back in the wintertime. The stripes on my lawn were really not that visible even though I filled the roller up fully with sand. Not until I strapped two 5 lb weights to the top of it with a bungee cord did the stripes become clearly visible. I am very happy with this product. Was this review helpful to you? save your money, July 19, 2010 By Darlene Gomes (Gardnerville,NV.) This review is from: Lawn Stryper LM408111B Lawn Striping Pattern System, Black (Lawn & Patio) Bought this for Father's Day. What a waste of money. Tried it with the grass short, long and in between. Not a sripe to be seen. So between the price of the product and the sand you have to buy, save your money!

End Result is great BUT..., June 27, 2010 This review is from: Lawn Stryper Lawn Striping Pattern System (Lawn & Patio) This product really does work! My lawn looked incredible after the first time I used it. BUT like others have said it is tough to get the sand inside. I used Water and it works great! Also, make sure you outline your lawn and give yourself plenty of turn around room for your mower before putting the stryper on. I have railroad ties around my beds so I have to make three passes out before I can put on the stryper. Also, I have a lawn boy and I have to make it fit by forcing it on because the smallest size is still to big for the width of my mower handle. All they would have had to do is make another hole but oh well. Now I'm changing my rating to 3 instead of 4 because that makes me mad. Was this review helpful to you? Works, but a few notes.., June 18, 2010 This review is from: Lawn Stryper LM408111B Lawn Striping Pattern System, Black (Lawn & Patio) I bought the lawn stryper and for the most part I am very pleased.
A few points to know:
* You need to fill the roller with sand. Use DRY sand, most sand is not dry in the plastic bags, so a tip is to spread it out on your driveway in the sun for a few hours, otherwise the sand will be difficult to insert into the roller.
* With everything on your mower you can still walk comfortably behind it, but it will take up alot of the power assist energy so be prepared to push more especially around inclines
* It does make nice stripes on your lawn however they are not as pronounced as in some of the pictures.
* It does make maneuvering around a bit more of a challenge, but the effort will be worth it.
Overall, a very decent product and one to tell the neighbors about.

0 of 1 people found the following review helpful: easy simple and inexpensive a great start!, July 21, 2010 By John Salazar (chicago) This review is from: Lawn Stryper Lawn Striping Pattern System (Lawn & Patio) I have a craftsman 33" walk behind and was concerned tis would not fit but the brackets are easily adjustable and the unit works great!
Do your research there are lots of ways to get that ballpark look but all are more expensive. I was going to spend $300 on a unit and decided to give this a try and am quite pleased.
My only complaint is that you have to fill it with dry sand, well have you ever found dry sand anywhere? took an hour to fill with moist sand and still wish it was heavier. I am going to add a container of Daisy BB's to weight it down a bit more.
Otherwise can't complain the lawn looks great!
I am going to upload two pics of what the lawn looks like.

Update a few months later
Lawn started looking bad in September and started having a lot of thatch issues which I have never had before I started raking and you wouldn't believe how much dead stuff was in there..
I'm guessing that stomping the grass down with this thing once a week is probably not good for the long term heath of the lawn. I ordered a dethatcher attachment for my mini tiller today and am discontinuing use of this untill spring.
Have to say lawn looked GREAT for about two months I would recommend limiting its use to every other week PLUS its very important to vary your pattern so every other mowing cut at 90* so that your not continuously pushing the lawn down in the same direction.
I am changing my star rating from 5 to 4 its still a GREAT value when compared to pro units from [...]
